My name is Selah

I am an Artist

Welcome

A tad bit about me

I am a Portland Oregon native turned to a Hot Springs Arkansas local.

I am a stay-at-home Mama and a proud firefighter wife!

Between balancing kids and life, I am passionate about horses, reading and gaming.

I am a huge fantasy nerd and lover of all thing’s cottage core and folk art. My attraction to those things speak out into my art and inspire what I do and who I am as an artist.

The Story behind the name

The Artisan is a worker in a skilled trade, especially one that involves making things by hand.

And “Fernweh” is a German word (pronounced Fern-Vay) that describes “a longing for far-off places”

My family tree shares a long line of German history. I have a deep connection to the culture, food, architecture, and artistry.

I wanted a name that represented my love for fantasy, the desire to create and honored my German background.

The Artisan Fernweh is about putting life into paper, pen, paints or pixels. It’s about inspiring people to awaken their inner magic and discover how art can tell a story.
